Who We Are

Our Calling:

One in Messiah is called teach, preach, reach and disciple.

OIM is a loving family of faith. We are called to be a Godly influence on our families and local communities, impacting our world’s culture for Yeshua by our Messiah-like example, by the teaching of God’s word, preaching the Gospel, reaching out to those in need, and discipling new believers in Yeshua.

What is the basis for our beliefs?

We believe that the Jewish Scriptures prophesied the coming of the Messiah, through whom we can have atonement (forgiveness) of sins and experience a personal relationship with

G-d. For example, these Scriptures teach us that the Messiah would:

  • be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2)
  • come before the destruction of the Jewish temple in 70 CE (Daniel 9:24-25)
  • have a miraculous/virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14)
  • be despised and rejected by his people (Isaiah 53:3)
  • die for our sins by crucifixion (Psalm 22:16; Isaiah 53:5)
  • be resurrected from the dead (Psalm 16:10)

What is our purpose?

Our purpose at One in Messiah is to build and establish a Messianic family whose members are mutually committed to each other’s growth and edification as we share the message of Yeshua/Jesus, our Messiah, with Jewish and Gentile people.

We are called to preach:  the gospel ~ teach: the Word of G-d ~  reach:  the community with the good news of Messiah ~ disciple: help new believers understand faith in Yeshua and empower young believers through the Scriptures, ~ strengthen and equip mature believers to be leaders.

Our Vision

Our vision is to see our congregation grow through discipleship, by equipping new and young believers in Yeshua, empowering more faithful lives for service, and equipping the mature believer to reach out to others through leadership and teaching.
