One in Messiah Congregation invites you to come and worship with us on Friday night, 7pm. We are located at Christ Church,
5091 Caldwell Mill Rd. Birmingham, Al 35242. So come join us this Friday night for an evening of beautiful Liturgy, Messianic Praise and Worship and hearing God’s Word and bring a friend!

What is a Messianic Congregation?

We teach the basic tenets of evangelical Christianity. We differ because we do so in a Jewish way, with Jewish liturgy, music and other features of Jewish community life, which adds a dimension not found in other Christian traditions. Messianic congregations consider Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah to be the fulfillment of the prophecies of the Hebrew Bible, which mainstream synagogues do not.

Why Friday nights?

At sundown Friday starts the sabbath and goes until sundown on Saturday. Messianic services continue the practice of Yeshua (Jesus) and his followers by keeping the Sabbath.

What do we teach?

Our teachings are designed to connect the dots from the Old Testament to the New Testament. We want everyone to understand the whole Bible in its fullest context, with an understanding of Hebrew concepts, that makes the scriptures come alive.

Who is Rabbi Wayne?

As a young Jewish guy, Wayne came to know Yeshua, ‘Jesus’ at the age of 18. He did not understand his new faith and immediately entered Southeastern Bible College for 2 years of Bible training to fully understand the decision he made. Then on to Liberty University majoring in Psychology, Business and a minor in Bible. He was a business man for many years and was called into full-time ministry later in life. Wayne has taught Bible studies and served as Chairman of the Board of a Messianic Synagouge in New Jersey and served as Service Leader in a congregation in Alabama, before being ordained as a Messianic Rabbi.
